Objectives: Obesity, hypertension and diabetes are closely associated with endometrial cancer EC. This study evaluates the relationship between diabetes and risk of EC on the basis of obesity. Methods: A case control study was carried out in Mexico City from to Eighty-five histologically confirmed cases were compared with population-based controls obtained through frequency matching.
Canine diabetes mellitus risk factors: A matched case-control study
The prevalence of prediabetes has been increasing significantly in recent years. Individuals with prediabetes have an increased risk of developing diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. The objectives of this study were to identify risk factors for prediabetes and their interactions among the elderly in rural communities of Hunan Province and to provide a scientific basis for prediabetes prevention. A case-control study was conducted to explore risk factors for prediabetes among the elderly in rural areas.
Different subtypes of canine diabetes mellitus CDM have been described based on their aetiopathogenesis. Therefore, manifold risk factors may be involved in CDM development. This study aims to investigate canine diabetes mellitus risk factors. Owners of diabetic dogs and healthy controls matched by breed, sex, and age were interviewed concerning aspects related to diet, weight, physical activity, oral health, reproductive history, pancreatitis, and exposure to exogenous glucocorticoids.
